Instead he pounced, according to the women and the Bend Police Department.
The hulking, 245-pound man hopped out his truck and rushed toward the women’s car, shattering its rear window and left tail light with a flying fist, Stackhouse and Mann said.
Barbeau then darted over to the Kia’s driver side window, which was rolled down, and snatched Stackhouse’s right arm, she said. He began to bend and twist it until the arm snapped, she said.
“It was a compound fracture,” Stackhouse said. “It was visibly broken.”
The Redmond man then started punching her repeatedly in the face, which broke the glasses she was wearing, Stackhouse said.
That’s when Mann said she got out of the passenger seat and ran around the car toward Barbeau to try and subdue him.
Mann said Barbeau violently grabbed her and thrust her head-first into the concrete. The impact knocked her unconscious and later left her with a concussion, according to the women and court records.
Barbeau began to head back to his truck, where a female passenger who was with him urged they flee the scene, Stackhouse recalled.

PEORIA — A manager at the Subway on West Main Street was assaulted on Friday at 3:30 p.m., a sandwich being the weapon of choice.
The manager was responding to “a commotion” at the register when a pregnant woman attacked her, according to a report filed with the Peoria Police Department. The woman swung her sandwich into the victim’s face and, after the sandwich fell, punched her twice before throwing cups at her. Both the witness and the security footage matched the victim’s story.
The assailant recognized the manager, according to the witness’ testimony, but the manager did not report knowing her assailant.
The suspect was quickly located and arrested on charges of battery as well as possession and intent to deliver cannabis.

WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A mother has been charged with making false reports after troopers say she staged her son’s DUI.
Troopers say Christy Gower, 38, of West Milton, admitted to investigators she put her son, John Houtz, 20, of West Milton, behind the wheel back in February. She then called state police and said her son was high on synthetic marijuana and was passed out in the car.
Troopers arrived and charged Houtz with DUI.
However, at his preliminary hearing, Gower told police she was the one who put Houtz in the vehicle and started the engine before calling police.
Gower is facing reckless endangerment and false reports charges in Union County.

A man is dead and his wife faces a murder charge after she told police she shot him because he was beating the family cat, Dallas police said.
Mary Harrison, 47, told detectives she shot her husband, 49-year-old Dexter Harrison, during an argument.
The shooting occurred around 6:45 a.m. in the 13000 block of Fall Manor Drive in Far Northeast Dallas, police said.
The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where he died. His wife faces a murder charge and was taken to the Dallas County Jail, police said.
Mary Harrison remained in jail Sunday morning. Her bail is set at $100,000.

Man Fatally Shoots Himself While Playing With Gun In Washington Hotel Room!

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A 25-year-old man accidentally killed himself while playing with a gun in a Bellevue hotel room early Sunday morning, according to Bellevue police.
A 24-year-old woman called 911 at 3:35 a.m. saying her friend had just shot himself inside a room at the Hotel 116, located at 625 116th Avenue NE. Medics arrived found the man with a gun shot wound to his head. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he later died from his injuries.
The woman told detectives the man was fiddling with a gun, and when she told him to stop because it made her feel uncomfortable, he assured her not to worry since the gun was unloaded. He then put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, firing the fatal shot. The woman ran to the lobby to call 911.
Bellevue police are investigating the death. The man’s name has not been released.

Woman Accused Of Attacking Boyfriend, Mutilating His Genitals!!!

CANTON, Ohio — A man needed medical treatment early Sunday after his girlfriend attacked him and mutilated his genitals, police said.
Jamie M. Gammel, 39, of the 500 block of Saylor Place SW, is charged with felonious assault and misdemeanor domestic violence. She was being held in the Stark County Jail.
According to the arrest report, Gammel was charged because she “did attempt to remove the victim’s testicles from his body during a physical altercation.” Police said the attack caused the victim serious harm that required medical treatment.
The report didn’t say if a weapon was used in the attack. Police also said that Gammel hit the victim in the face.
Police were called to Gammel’s residence just before 4 a.m. on Sunday. According to the arrest report, Gammel and the victim are girlfriend and boyfriend.
Police have responded to a variety of calls at the Saylor Place address since last June, and at least 10 reports have been filed by Canton police. The most recent was May 17 when officers responded to a “disorderly house” incident after three calls over two days and arrested Gammel on misdemeanor charges.
