According to the arrest report, Detron Williams, 28, was driving back to Gainesville from a party in Citra when he started accusing his girlfriend of cheating on him.
Police said Williams then turned off his headlights and ran through several red lights while speeding. When his girlfriend tried to call for help, Williams stopped her and punched her several times.
Williams eventually pulled over and his girlfriend tried to get out of the car, so he grabbed her and started driving in reverse, dragging her until he let go and hit her with the open door.
