Man Attempts To ‘Buy’ Teen Girl From Her Parents!!

A man is accused of trying to kidnap a 13-year-old girl in Boston on Sunday after he offered to “buy” her from her parents.
Police said they responded at 4:41 p.m. to a call for an attempted kidnapping in area of North and Congress streets near Faneuil Hall.
According to the police report Alfred Patterson, 27, of Raymond, New Hampshire, approached the family, pulled out a “significant bundle of money,” and offered to buy the teen saying, “I’m rich. How much to take her out?”
Prosecutors said Patterson was carrying nearly $11,000.
The child’s father intervened and Patterson fled the area, police said.
Officers said they found Patterson near 260 Washington St. and he was taken into custody.
At a court hearing Monday, Patterson’s attorney said he suffers from cognitive issues.
“It’s all exaggerated and blown out of proportion. It’s all lies. I never even grabbed her arm and there’s footage of it,” Patterson told WCVB by phone after he was bailed out Monday.
Police haven’t released surveillance footage of the encounter.
Patterson, who has a long criminal history in several states, was ordered not to return to Massachusetts.
