According to the post, Robert Kovner took to social media to express his frustration over the lack of mask-wearers at an area Publix and threatened a mass shooting.
“We realize these are stressful times, but there is no excuse for making threats like this. It’s not a joke. It’s not just a bad day. It’s a crime. We will ALWAYS take them seriously and you will go to jail,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.
Kovner, 62, was arrested for making a written threat of a mass shooting, which is a second-degree felony. He is being held at a Highlands County jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.

Man Arrested Twice In 3 Hours For Entering Wawa Without Mask, Making Threats!!

Stephen Breza became belligerent when he walked into a Wawa on the 100 block of Route 37 east in Toms River at around 11 a.m. and was told he needed to have his face covered, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General said Monday.
Breza then started screaming and cursing at employees before threatening to hit another customer with a pipe, according to Toms River police. He screamed at the responding officers and resisted arrest prior to being taken into custody, officials said.
After being booked and released, Breza went to a Wawa on the 1600 block of Route 37 east at about 1:30 p.m. and again entered without a mask, officials said. He then punched a customer in the face and went to his car to get a pipe, which he began waving around, the Attorney General’s office said.
